Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information [DIGEIS LEGAL NAME] (“DIGEIS”, “we”, “us”) collects on [digeis.net], why, and what you can do about it.

The short version: the only personal information we collect is a parent or guardian's email address, and only if they sign up for launch news. We don't collect anything from children, we don't sell anything we collect, and we don't use advertising trackers.

1. What we collect

If you sign up for launch news (adults 18 and over only):

• Your email address.
• A record that you ticked the consent box and confirmed your subscription, including the date and time.

The age check. Before the signup form appears, we ask for your birth year. We use your answer only to decide whether to show the form. We don't save the year you enter or send it to anyone. Your browser keeps a temporary note of the result until you close the tab, so the form doesn't reappear on refresh.

When anyone visits the page:

• Our website host, Vercel, automatically records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the time of the visit. It uses this to run and secure the site. We don't use it to identify you.
• We use Vercel Web Analytics, from our host, to count visits. It tells us totals only: how many visits, which pages, which countries, what kind of device and browser, and which website linked here. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't build a profile of you or follow you to other websites, and never tells us who anyone is.
• Your Dino shelf and the “Pause motion” setting are saved only in your own browser. They're never sent to us, and clearing your browser's site data removes them.

What we don't collect: names, phone numbers, home addresses, photos, payment details, or anything from children. There are no comment boxes, contests or chat on the page.

2. How we use it

We use your email address only to:

• Send one message asking you to confirm your signup.
• Send news about the launch of DIGEIS DINOS.

Every email has an unsubscribe link. We won't use your address for anything else unless we ask you first.

3. Who we share it with

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.

We use a small number of service providers who handle information on our behalf and only for the purposes above:

• Buttondown, which stores the mailing list and sends our emails.
• Vercel, which hosts the website and counts visits (totals only, as above).

We don't upload our list to advertising platforms, and there are no advertising or retargeting pixels (such as Meta, TikTok or Google Ads) on the site.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights or safety of DIGEIS or others.

4. Children

DIGEIS DINOS is a game for kids ages 8–13, and we take their privacy seriously.

• We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The site has no form or field a child can use to send us personal information.
• Signing up is for parents and guardians only. Anyone who enters a birth year under 18 is asked to have a parent or guardian sign up instead, and nothing they enter is collected.
• If we learn that we've received personal information from a child under 13, we'll delete it promptly.
• Parents: if you think your child has given us information, email us at [CONTACT EMAIL] and we'll find it and delete it.

We follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

5. How long we keep it

• Confirmed subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address, or until we stop sending launch news, whichever comes first.
• Unconfirmed signups: deleted after [30] days if the confirmation link isn't clicked.
• Host server logs: kept only as long as Vercel retains them for security and operations.

When you unsubscribe, we keep your address only on a suppression list, so we never email you again by mistake.

6. Your choices

You can, at any time:

• Unsubscribe, using the link in any of our emails.
• Ask what we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete your email address.

To do any of these, email [CONTACT EMAIL]. We'll respond within 30 days. We honour these requests wherever you live.

We don't track visitors across other websites, so we don't respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals. There's nothing for them to switch off.

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including limiting who can access the mailing list and using established service providers. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure.

8. Where information is stored

DIGEIS is based in the United States. Information is stored in the U.S. or wherever our service providers operate their systems.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. If a change affects how we use the email addresses we already have, we'll email subscribers before it takes effect.
